Minnesota’s own hippy-hop rapper has been working out his dreams for nearly half of his existence. At 31, Mod is not only creating a path of his own in music, but he is also helping out many of those around him. Mod just wrapped up his Smile Machine Tour with friends Caskey, Lost In Vegas, Forget Brennan, Donnie on the Drums, and had many other special guests in various cities—including Bella Thorne. 

As a music-culture expeditionist, Mod is always learning and pioneering within music, mood, and life. During this tour, Mod not only performed but even joined in on the drums and piano for certain songs—such as Runaway—a song based off the very first chords he learned on guitar. Never forsaking his roots as a rock artist, Mod understands that lyrics and rhythm go arm-in-arm to generate a total phenomenon in the ears and hearts of his fans. This is what has drawn new followers to him, daily. 

When the music settled down Mod took to center stage with a mic and said, “You know this feeling? Take it home with you. And out there, outside of this venue . . . help those in arms reach of you.” This was followed-up by the loudest ovation of the night. Mod Sun is a pure example of a person that makes it cool to be kind, and a motivational soul living right before us. Recently Mod Sun tweeted, “I’ve been making five songs a day for the last five years; my time is coming.” The question is: are we ready to embrace and inhale his music?
